On 1-2 June 2016, the Thai-German Trilateral Cooperation Programme attended the SEP in Business: A G-77 Forum on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals meeting, organized by the Royal Thai Government and the Thailand Sustainable Development Foundation at Siam Kempinski Hotel. The objective of the meeting was to expand the understanding of the G-77 member countries on the application of SEP and examine how the concept of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) can be utilized in the private sector to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Opening remarks were made by Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister. Next, a variety of panelists were invited to discuss how their companies have streamlined SEP. The event also featured an interactive exhibition showcasing businesses which have applied SEP as well as a session on the SDGs from a United Nations perspectives. On the second day, a study trip to Sampran Riverside was organized for participants to experience practical applications of SEP in the tourism sector.
