Put Industry 4.0 into Competencies

The Regional Cooperation Programme to Improve the Quality and Labour Market Orientation of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (RECOTVET) in close collaboration with SEAMEO VOCTECH, international and regional experts kicked off the first Training of Multipliers “Innovative Teaching and Learning for Industrial Changes due to Industry 4.0” organised at Bureau of Personnel Competency Development under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Bangkok on 5 August 2019.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Teacher Training Institutions from 9 ASEAN Member States and Timor Leste join this training and are committed to send their future multipliers to be equipped with knowledge and skills on innovative technical and didactical principles on Industry 4.0 and Digitalisation. The knowledge will be then adapted into curricula and training plans in each country.

At the end of the training, competent multipliers are familiar with regional training modules and equipped with the competencies described in the Learn and Work Assignments (LWAs) curricula as well as learn to plan and deliver their own in-service training modules trainings which can later be incorporated in their TVET system or trained at the national level.

The training will be held until 16 August, including visiting Kamon manufacturing factory, DENSO Thailand and Thai – German Institute in Chonburi province to learn the adaption and implementation of smart factory and digitalisation in companies and training institution.

During the whole training, the participants will learn about 1) New Paradigm: The Changes of Management- and Work Processes and Consequences for The Workforce Due to Industry 4.0 2) Man-Machine Communication, Optimisation of Automation and Consequences for The Workforce and Security 3) Process Management, Optimisation of Automation and Guarantee of Process and Data Safety and 4) Planning of Lessons and Use of Multifunctional Didactical Approaches for Deepening Understanding of Digital-Based and Modern Industry.
