Thai-German Programme on Energy Efficiency Development Plan (TGP-EEDP) organized a 7-day Study Trip to Denmark and Germany under the topic “Energy Efficiency Policy and Implementation in industrial and building sector” during 31 August – 6 September 2014. The participants are divided into two groups – operational and executive level – in order to achieve the objectives in different perspective.

On this occasion, the participants are mainly from government sector and other related organizations;
1.Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), Ministry of Energy
2.Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy
3.Energy Regulatory Committee (ERC)
4.Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT)
5.Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA)
6.Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA)
7.Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO)
8.Thai ESCO Association
9. GIZ project team

The study trip has achieved goals of studying policy planing, implementation of Energy Efficiency Resource Standard (EERS) and Energy Service Company (ESCO) and how to do Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) since participants have more understanding of those topics which can be used to apply with the Thai policy in the near future.
