PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Asian Institute of Technology promotes technological change and sustainable development in the Asian-Pacific region through higher education, research and outreach. Established in Bangkok in 1959, the AIT’s aim is the training of highly skilled professionals who are contributing to designing solutions to problems of developmental relevance in the fields of environment, natural resources, society and economy. To this end AIT offers training with special focus on postgraduate studies (Master, PhD). By several projects of TC Germany has supported the AIT for a period of 30 years (1972-2002) among others by advisory services concerning organizational and curriculum development, the granting of scholarships, as well as the deployment of German professors and teaching staff.
