To kickstart a crucial year for urban climate action, the project Integrated Urban Climate Action for Low-Carbon & Resilient Cities Project (Urban-Act), led by GIZ in cooperation with ESCAP, is conducting a monthly webinar throughout 2024, themed Climate Conscious Cities: Urban-Act Webinar Series. This webinar series will provide the opportunity for practitioners and policymakers to meaningfully exchange dialogue and impactful ideas and increase practical knowledge of low-carbon and climate-sensitive urban development. It is a timely opportunity to bring together diverse and relevant perspectives from organisations, institutions and experts within and outside the Urban-Act project.
The webinar series is designed to serve as a “Constructing participation space” where Urban-Act project partners and external participants give expert presentations and present interactive components, contributing to dialogue and increasing practical knowledge of low-carbon and climate-sensitive urban development.

The webinar series will comprise not just topics relevant to integrated low-carbon and climate-sensitive urban development, but new and emerging action-oriented methodologies, perspectives, resources, and ideas that serve as a catalyst for participants to reflect upon, innovate and improve their own practice. Methods to enhance interaction between presenters and participants will be explored.
