ASEAN Crops website launched at the Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry

ASEAN Crops website showcased at the Exhibition of the 39th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry and related meetings.

ASEAN Crops website (org.doa.go.th/aseancrops) is a platform to publicise ASEAN works on crops. The website is under the purview of the ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Crops (ASWGC) to foster knowledge sharing and exchange among various expert groups while strengthening ASEAN Cooperation on Crops.

Hosted by Thailand’s Department of Agriculture, the website was officially kicked off at the ‘ASEAN Ministerial Exhibition on Sustainable Agrifood Systems: Towards Food Security and Sustainable Development’ during the 39th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (39th AMAF) and related meetings in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 25-30 September 2017.

The regional coordinator from the ASEAN Member States will be appointed and rotated by country every two years to manage the website.

ASEAN Crops website has developed with the support of the ASEAN-German Cooperation project ‘ASEAN Sustainable Agrifood Systems (ASEAN SAS)’.
