02 June 2019
PROJECT DURATION
June 1970 – April 1975
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Thai-German Technical Institute Khon Kaen was established with the aim of training young Thais to become skilled workers and technicians. The school offered training courses for a range of occupations: technical drafter, mechanic, car mechanic, plumber, and electrician. Within the framework of Thai-German technical cooperation German experts supported the institute by teaching, developing curricula and designing teaching materials. Furthermore classrooms and workshops were constructed and equipped.
The German vocational training methods and plans adapted and utilized at the institute have proved their suitability as evidenced by the excessive number of applicants to the institute each year and by the immediate full employment (or further training) of graduates with high wages and the satisfaction of the graduates’ employers.
