PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The TG-ANP’s most important merit was the establishment of a laboratory for the analysis of agro-by-products. The aim of the project was to provide the Department Animal Husbandry at the Chiang Mai University with the necessary means – both in terms of equipment and qualified personnel – to analyze these agro-by-products in order to integrate them sensibly into the feeding of animals and therewith make a major contribution to the local farmers’ economic advancement and ecological sustainability in the region. In addition to this main goal, the project was very active in the training of students, researchers and government officials, as wells as in publishing its research findings and in the development of advisory material.
