GIZ Thailand launches Bangkok Perspectives, a new business dialogue platform

On 20 November 2025, GIZ Thailand kicked off the first edition of Bangkok Perspectives, a dialogue series that brings together leaders from the public and private sectors to talk openly about global uncertainty, economic resilience, and Southeast Asia’s role in a rapidly changing world.

Under the theme “Navigating Uncertainty: Global Cooperation and Economic Resilience in a Fragmented World,” Delia Domingo Albert, former Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs, shared powerful reflections on Southeast Asia’s growing importance on the global stage, and Manu Bhaskaran, economist and strategic advisor from Singapore, provided sharp perspectives on building economic resilience through more inclusive cross-border partnerships.

The event, held at Jim Thompson House, was opened by Dr Timo Menniken, Country Director of GIZ Thailand, with welcome remarks from Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, setting an engaging tone for this new series.

A warm thank you to all partners, speakers, and participants for making this inaugural edition a success. We look forward to continuing the Bangkok Perspectives dialogues and to shaping a more resilient and connected future together.
