Thai refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) sector manufacturers who are interested in producing highly energy efficient and environmentally-friendly appliances are invited to complete and submit the Expression of Interest form provided by 30 April 2017, to be considered for cooperation with the RAC NAMA project.
Dear Thai Refrigeration and Air Conditioning manufacturers,
The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (RAC NAMA) project aims to support Thailand in achieving its pledged goal of emission reduction, by working with the Thai RAC sector to produce highly energy efficient and environmentally-friendly appliances during its 5-year implementation from 2016-2021.
Hence, the RAC NAMA project is seeking to work with Thai RAC manufacturers interested in introducing products which use natural refrigerants (such as HC-290 or HC600a) to their production. It aims to assist by providing technical support for product development for safety and high energy efficiency as well as for production line conversion.
Interested manufactures are encouraged to complete the Expression of Interest (EoI) form attached herewith fully and correctly, before submitting it to the address which is provided below. The period for EoI submission is open until 30 April 2017. Afterwards, the project will issue a Letter of Acceptance within 45 days following the close of submission. In the following steps, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and/or NonDisclosure Agreement (NDA) may be signed between the company and RAC NAMA before proceeding with further cooperation.
Following the initial technical cooperation, the RAC NAMA project may also provide financial support, such as in the form of partial grants to contribute to production line conversion or the purchasing of new equipment. However, the details and conditions of the financial support will be made available at a later time.
Lastly, we hope to have the opportunity to cooperate with you in developing and producing appliances which are not only environmentally friendly, but are also energy efficient.
