Thai-German Trilateral Cooperation
Objectives and ApproachesThe objective of the programme is to support capacity building and human resources development of officials and agencies in the partner countries in response to their development needs through the transfer of relevant expertise and technologies from Thailand and Germany. Each year, the programme supports several projects which are implemented jointly between the project counterparts and the designated agencies in Thailand. Eligible ProjectsThe programme aims to support several projects annually under the identified sectors in Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam (CLV). A trilateral project is to be implemented jointly between a project counterpart in CLV and a project partner in Thailand, addressing development problems and target groups in CLV. The project may consist of a combination of activities such as training, study visits, seminars, workshops, technical assistance, etc. Where possible, projects should utilize local expertise and resources in order to promote regional wisdom, strength and ownership. The design and structure of the project is to follow the Trilateral Project Design Guideline. |
Areas of CooperationThe areas of cooperation were identified during trilateral cooperation workshops between Thailand, Germany, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam as the priority areas which fit the demand from the partner countries and are suitable for the new framework:
