The site opens to the now iconic symbols of the 17 SDGs, each of which, when clicked, shows links to related GIZ projects in the TUEWAS sector in the region. In addition to background information on member projects and fields of intervention, knowledge products such as publications and training materials are now available for download.
In principle, the hub is aligned with GIZ objective of supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and facilitates reporting of contributions in the TUEWAS sector in Asia to interested parties all over the world. Its launch is timely, as the next UN Climate Change Conference (COP23) in November will undoubtedly draw global attention to progress towards the goals.
In doing its bit as an Asia-based network, TUEWAS continues to strive to engage and contribute to implementing the Agenda and adopting a more integrated approach.
As part of its long-term efforts to strengthen the existing network and knowledge sharing, the website is envisioned as a cooperation platform and an information hub for all things related to TUEWAS and eventually leading to meaningful collaboration.
