GTZ Profile

Founded in 1975, GTZ (German Technical Cooperation) is the world’s largest not-for-profit company dedicated to supplying services for sustainable international development. It is owned by the German Federal Government. Some 75% of GTZ’s work is German Technical Assistance (TA), funded by the Federal government, and delivered to over 130 partner countries. The balance, through GTZ International Services (GTZ IS), is paid for by third party clients, such as multilateral organisations and foreign partner governments.
